Tanzania - Mbozi, Songwe
Tanzania Hezya Usawa Kahawa is a vibrant, ethically sourced coffee grown by smallholder farmers in the Mbozi region of southern Tanzania. Produced through the Usawa Kahawa Project, which promotes gender equity in coffee farming—this washed-process lot delivers a clean, balanced cup with notes of juicy citrus, stone fruit, and a smooth honeyed finish. Grown at 1590–1670 meters and made up of Bourbon, N39, Kent, and local varieties, it’s a high-elevation coffee that’s as meaningful as it is delicious.
The Hezya AMCOS cooperative behind this coffee includes nearly 300 farmers, many of whom are women empowered through training and leadership opportunities. Cherries are handpicked, washed, and sun-dried using traditional methods that highlight the clarity and brightness of each bean. Every batch supports small farms and fair access to global markets—so your brew does more than taste good, it does good.
