José Justino is a producer from the region of San Sebastián, Lempira. In 2007 he began purchasing land to begin growing coffee, which now includes farms in the Azacualpa community, La Mision village, San Antonio village, all in the San Marcos de Caiquin Municipality, Lempira. In 2016 he bought another plot of land in the La Laguna community in San Sebastián and planted it with coffee. This is fully washed Catuai and Bourbon. The Lempira department is named after an indigenous warrior who led 30,000 Lenca soldiers into battle against the Spanish in 1537. Lempira means “Lord of the Mountain” in the Lenca language.
