Colombia Pitalito – Huila
This single-origin coffee comes from Pitalito, Huila, Colombia, one of the country’s most respected coffee-growing regions. Produced by small, family-owned farms and fully washed for clarity and balance, this coffee represents the approachable yet high-quality profile Colombia is known for worldwide. Grown at elevations between 1,670 and 1,950 meters above sea level, the coffee benefits from cool mountain temperatures and a humid climate that allows coffee cherries to mature slowly and develop complexity.
Pitalito sits in southern Huila, where consistent rainfall, rich volcanic soil, and dramatic elevation changes create ideal conditions for specialty coffee production. The region’s climate remains moderate year-round, supporting reliable harvests and clean cup profiles. This coffee is harvested between September and December, ensuring peak freshness and quality during the main Colombian harvest season.
The coffee is made up of traditional Colombian varieties, including Typica, Caturra, and Castillo, and is classified as Supremo, indicating a larger bean size that promotes even roasting and consistent brewing results. The washed process further enhances clarity and structure, making this coffee well-suited for both espresso and filter brewing methods.
