Rwanda - Inzovu, Kigali
This month's featured coffee comes from the highlands of Rwanda, where fertile volcanic soils, high elevations, and careful processing create coffees known for their clarity and sweetness.
Our Rwanda Peaberry is grown between 1,400 and 1,900 meters above sea level and fully washed to produce a clean, vibrant cup. Peaberries occur naturally when a coffee cherry develops a single round bean instead of the typical two flat-sided beans. Many coffee enthusiasts seek them out for their distinctive character and concentrated flavor.
Expect a balanced cup with medium body and acidity, featuring notes of black tea, orange, and baking spice. The result is a smooth, approachable coffee that shines whether brewed as a pour-over, drip coffee, or French press.
