Guatemala - Los Dos Socios

Don Concepcion Villatoro Matias purchased this farm in 1990, and is separated into many small parcels.  The name 'Los Dos Socios,' or the two associates, refers to his relationship with God as the associate supporting his farm.  Los Dos Socios is a 10-manzana farm with 3,500 coffee trees per manzana, planted under shade.  His farm is located in Huehuetenango up high with a view of the mountains, making for a lovely place to live and work. Huehuetenango is one of Guatemala's prized coffee-growing regions. Coffees are picked and de-pulped the same day, then fermented dry for 18–24 hours before being washed three times and laid on patios and nylon tarps to dry for 3.5–6 days, weather depending.
